Elite status: none
Date of flight: January 20, 2019
Aircraft type:
A320-200

Seat: 5C

Padding:
Good padding. No hard spots nor lumps. Appeared to be an older aircraft showing some wear on the interior.
Recline:
The seat reclined about 4.5 inches from the upright position. Typical of narrow body economy seats. It was adequate for a short haul flight to maintain a reasonable level of comfort.

Pitch:
Pitch was a little tight with less than 2 inches from my knee to the seat in front. This is typical for Asian low cost carriers.
It is best if you can get all your carry on bags above. When the seat in front reclines it gets tighter.

Payment method reasoning: I don’t chase airline status. This was my cheapest option that fit my schedule and a short haul flight. I used a promo code for the cheap fare with Scoot.
Boarding:
We boarded from gate F40 of Terminal 2 at SIN Changi Airport. All security is handled at the gates in SIN so we allowed extra time before boarding.
Boarding started late due to delays. Boarding on Scoot is from back to front so I was one of the last on board. I had no issue stowing my bag above my seat.
Boarding was quick and efficient with the staff helping passengers put bags away quickly and keep the line moving.
Service:
The captain did a great job of keeping us informed of our flight and apologized for the delay. He announced a flying time of 2 hours.
The flight attendants were very attentive and nice throughout the flight. They were always smiling and helpful to passengers.
The meal and beverage service was efficient and quick to help keep aisles clear. The flight attendants made sure to move the cart out of the way of passengers coming and going during meal services.
I opted not to purchase any as I just ate at the lounge.
IFE and power:
No IFE nor power outlets on board. Typical of low cost carriers.
Only the Scoot 787 fleet offers IFE and Power for purchase.
WiFi:
No WiFi on board. Typical of most low cost carriers.
Only the Scoot 787 fleet offers WiFi for purchase.

Food:
All food options are paid. Onboard menu available. You can pre-purchase or buy on board with cash in local currencies.
Choices were diverse with many hot, cold, and “premium” meal options. Snacks were also sold for cheaper. Prices were high.
The entire menu is shown here minus the advertisements for completeness. Not all options shown are available on this flight.
I did not purchase any food on board as I ate for free at the priority pass lounge in SIN.
Drinks:
All drink options are paid. Onboard menu available. You can pre-purchase or buy on board with cash in local currencies.

I did not purchase any drink on board as I got drinks for free at the priority pass lounge in SIN.
Best seats:
Row 1 extra leg room but no floor storage. Nearest to front of the plane.
Row 13 exit row with recline and floor storage.
Row 12 with no recline and floor storage.
Any other window or aisle seat.
Would I fly again?
Yes! The very friendly crew, good service, and cheap price are a great combination for short regional flights.
Pros:
Very cheap price for a “get you there” ticket with no frills. No fees for carryon baggage. Friendly staff and efficient service all around.
I rarely check baggage so this was ideal for my needs.
Cons:
No power, IFE, nor WiFi. Cheap tickets come with little frills. Not a good choice for lots of checked baggage or if you need onboard meals. No significant mileage earning possibilities.
